Meeting Actors of the Walking Dead

Well I have not had time yet to get my 2015 pictures on here, yesterday we attended the Salisbury Zombie Walk. Its the first zombie walk I have ever been too and oh it was fun. Usually the walks around here are all before Halloween and we are just too busy to do anything in October when the haunt is going up. This one got rescheduled because of rain last week.

Since I am doing a Tribute to the Walking Dead for my 2016 season I am in need of live zombies so I took flyers and handed them out. People were very nice to talk too and excited over the theme. I also talked to the leader who was in charge of the Thriller Dance performance......looks like maybe next year I just might pull it off. She said we'll get together and she is very interested.

They had 4 metal rock bands....what ya call that stuff? Punk Rock?. OMG I am still feeling a bit deaf from that, one of them performed at the local joint...Uncle Bucks....we stayed there and ate and listened to this music for over an hour. You could not talk to each other that's how wild & loud it was. All I could make out of what that dude was singing is>>>>>"I'm a *****, I'm a *****, I'm a *****!", absolutely insane.

That is where they stationed these poor actors from the Walking Dead. It was so hard to talk to them. I was so very excited to meet them both and they graciously took pictures and answered questions. It was such fun. I got 2 autographed pictures so I can frame them for Halloween next year. I told them about our plans next year to do the Walking Dead Tribute. They could not believe it when I said we were building close to 40 static props for the occasion. I told them how we were gonna set it up and that we needed live actors to play zombies too. Where better to find zombie lovers than a zombie walk.

Working feverously on my website. Also been out shopping for outfits for the first set of cast members we are making. Right now I'm more than 1/2 way with the first 10 outfits. Heads, faces, hands & hair will be done as we move along. I'll style the heads and place them on shelves so when we set up, the heads will go on the day before halloween so the elements don't hurt them. Got a few ideas about how to do the faces.....as soon as I get caught up I'll open a thread here for suggestions.

I really needed this Halloween to get me back on track. It was a great night. More importantly a thank you to all of you. Sometimes the words you type on here really have an effect on us. I just couldn't get my crew together to get the haunt up. So again this year 1/3 of it went up with hardly anything outside. Still we had a great time. Thanks for getting me over the hump!

How exciting! Is that one girl known as 'Teddy Bear Girl'? I have to admit, I have only started being a WD fan this past year and did a marathon of Netflix to get caught up for Season 6 :D

Your zombie theme for next year sounds outstanding and I am already looking forward to seeing photos :)

I had the pleasure of meeting the two actors who played Axel and Oscar in The Walking Dead a couple of years ago and talked to them about their paranormal experiences. I am bad with names so please forgive me plus not being a WD fan at the time, I think it made the process of chatting with them easier. They were hilarious and so nice!

Love the photos. :) 2016 is going to be a grand year for you!!
Sounds like you had fun & good luck with next year!

This is one of the things I love about the horror community, you can have a decent career & make some extra dough doing conventions even if you've only been on screen less than 5 minutes.

The "sweater zombie" & "nurse zombie" from Romero's original Day of the Dead made some dough doing conventions together (they were married IRL) & they were in that movie less than a few minutes. Clayton has since passed but I recall seeing them at more than one convention & it was one of those things where you saw them & you were all "who are they...wait...OH YEAH I remember them!"

These aren't my pics but some I found online.

Miss Hallows Eve this is not the teddy bear girl but I have bought that outfit already for my haunt. This gal plays a zombie and there are pictures of her on my website, you would probably recognize her then. She is a double stunt person for Carl, Penny and Sophia. Hard to believe she is 23 and a junior in college. She also has quite a background in acting.
I'm glad you were able to go to the zombie walk like you wanted. Looks like it was a lot of fun and I hope it works out for next year with the "Thriller" group.
Thanks for asking me to drive up and go with you, but I just wanted wind down after the past three weekends of being on the go.
Cool you got to meet some of the actors from Walking Dead. I know it must be a great show, but I've never taken the time to watch it.
Ahhhh so much fun!! I love Horror Conventions….I have met Steve Dash (original Jason Vorhees,) Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger) Linda Blair, (Reagan, the Exorcist) and the entire cast of HALLOWEEN, …..including Jamie Lee Curits!!! I have also met several from HALLOWEEN 2, HALLOWEEN 3, and HALLOWEEn 5. Some of the best times ever!

I talked to Sharon Hill a lot when they were filming Dawn of the Dead. My sister Susan did the financials for the JC Penneys at Monroeville Mall and she didn't like to drive so my parents would have me drive over and pick her up at night. I would get to the mall about 8:30 and Sharon and Jeannie Jeffries would be out with others recruiting shoppers to be zombies, then Jeannie and Tom Savini had a makeup shop where they would get everyone done up. They were always asking me to be a zombie, but being a stupid kid I was more worried about getting the car back so they wouldn't get mad.

I ran into Jeannie about a year later when I was getting ready to go into the Navy and my sister snapped this picture of us.

She played the blonde zombie who attacks Roger while he's trying to hotwire the truck. We talk a lot on Facebook now and she just published a kids book about a racoon she raised. Funny how things happen in life. :)

Muffy, I live in Salisbury and was planning to come out, but got sidetracked with packing up the rest of my Halloween decorations while I had some available help. I'm glad you had a good time. I believe the weather still hurt attendance, but I have heard it was still a lot of fun.
So I was at the Wizard World ComiCon in Chicago last year. My GF and I had just checked into our Hotel. We had our costumes in our hands when we stepped into the elevator. There were 3 guys in the elevator when we walked in. One of the guys started talking to us about our costumes, seemed like a nice guy, although the 3 looked like they were in a grunge band or something, and I almost asked "so what, are you guys in like a band or something?" We got out and the guy said, enjoy the Con, I thanked him and said "you too".

My GF looked over at me and said, you know that was Norman Reedus from the Walking Dead right?
Ohnoes!!!!!
