I know this might sound odd but I want to remove the hair from a latex mask. The mask is a cheap $8 Michael Meyers mask and I want to use the mask for a project. I want to remove the hair and basically make it bald. Is there a good way to remove the hair that has been glued on?

Depending on what type of glue is holding it on......

You need to be careful because whatever eats the glue might also eat the latex / rubber, depending on what the mask is made out of.

so..... Things to try ( put a little in inconspicuous place to see if it damages the mask before going wholesale on the hair)

some glues react to heat, try a blow dryer or heat gun on a low heat.

Try something like goo-gone or wd-40

but again, try a small spot first in case it damages the mask.

hope that helps.

Thanks untilater. I have some WD40 at home and I might give that a shot. I have had a few people suggest goo-gone as well. A friend of mine works with hair pieces and he thinks he might be able to remove the hair by steaming the glue. He has a way to do it at his work so we shall see!
