Feb. 9th. I love these events, some great memories. It won't be visible in the Eastern States, unfortunately.

In a similar vein, there will be a New Moon on May 5th, with a perigee 15 hours after that, a rare event. Tides will be twice normal height and some seisologists are predicting increased tremors in California, around Mt Diablo. Lunar-triggered earthquakes are common. The big quake in China last year was predicted. And a few hours before the quake snakes and frogs were seen in great numbers "getting out of town" away from the reservoir that collapsed, and Pandas were freaking out in their cages. How the Chinese missed that is beyond me.

Break out the Pink Floyd cd, the beer cooler and a couple lawn chairs and we are ready to go. Yes you YANKEES can wear coats and snow boots. LOL JK Wait a minute, they said its gonna be rainning here. Darn, I'm out!
