looking for some advice with LED landscape lighting. I see 12V and 120V. The 12 doesn't appear to have many options in watts, but how many watts are needed? Seems like you might have more control with more lights lower wattage, but if you need a longer throw or are competing against other lights (i.e. street lights) do you need to step it up, 20W, 30W, 50W? It looks like many of the lights just come with a wire coming out of them, no plugs, no power supplies. how are people handling that? 12v needs a power supply correct? if so any recomendations? in my searching i came accross something that said white light with gels holds detail better than the rgb, is this in fact the case? Besides having more colors readily available to you are there any benefits to the RGB lights?
i'm sure that i have barely scratched the surface and am probably missing a lot. Any and all info that you could share would be greatly appreciated.
