I made these 4 windows a couple of years ago and plan to use them again this year in our community haunted house. They will be hanging against a dark wall and I am trying to figure out a way to make them appear like there is light coming from inside the window. Everything I've tried isn't quite the affect I'm looking for. No matter what type of light I use (small flickering tea lights, florescent light bars, battery powered LED lights) doesn't seem to dissipate the light behind the whole window. I can see the individual lights too well. Anyone have any ideas for how to make the whole window appear to glow with light (like a light is on inside a room on the other side).

Hi Tigpuppy ,

You could line the back of your windows with wax paper ( or diffusion gel ) , put a light behind your window but point it at a white surface , The light bounce off the wall hitting the wax paper will diffuse the source and you should get a nice , even light .

Hope that works for you , have a great Halloween ,

Tom
