With all my new free time I was planning a few Halloween projects. One thing I wanted to do was build a lighted tombstone for the front row of my graveyard. The ones is the back rows I can light with LEDs behind the front stones but the ones in the front rows need to have their own light so I do not need to place lights in front of them. Post your pictures of your lighted tombstones. Here is one I did last year.

Will they be behind bars Or out in the open? If they are behind a gate, bars or a fence, maybe try running small led strios on the back of the bars to send shadow light across the fronts (aimed back toward the stones).

My plan for this year is to make lots of flickering LED candles from PVC pipe (Stiltbeast tutorial on YouTube) and put them near the tombstones. I hope that I can aim them slightly back and the light will wash up the stone face.

Last year I used solar powered lights that were hidden from view by the posts of my cemetery fence and I added gels to change their color. But you get a lot of spread onto other things, like your house :( Some of this light on the porch is from a flood light in the yard, I hope to disguise that with a fake tree stump this year to act like barndoors (those metal flippers that let you narrow the light field). I think the candles will be fairly inexpensive to make, say $5 for a cluster of 3.
