I am looking at purchasing the Chauvet 1200 fog machine however I wanted to find out if there was a less expensive but just as good alternative to this machine. I plan on using it to pump fog thru a vortex style chiller to cover the front yard with fog for my maze. Would need a timer too. Would rather spend the money elsewhere if options are available. Thank you in advance for your feedback.

I bought 3 machines last year, a 700 chauvet, 1200 chauvet... both gave me issues. Instead I bit the bullet and bought an Antari1500 for about $600. Its incredible. I have full control on output, duration, interval with an LCD display. I keep it pumping the entire time we are scaring outside in the scare zone.

I have the American DJ FogStorm 1200 and it works great.

Edit: Sorry...I just realized that the American DJ is NOT less expensive than the Chauvet. My fault.
