I got really bored today and thought I would start an easy project while I'm waiting on my supply for the zombie cage to come in. So here is my Leering Skeleton thus far. I had all of the supplys on hand so I thought what the heck. I started with a 24 x 24 inch square of ply wood that I built a 18 inch tall frame with some leftover 2x2s and skinned it with 2 inch white foam.

I then sat my skeleton on top to find the placement of the 1/2 PVC pipe with will go into his spine. I screwed down a 2x4 to attached the pipe and placed my deer motor half way between the 2x4 and the front wall. I then cut some linkages and attracted it to the pipe.

I then cut the skeletons spine and drilled a hole in the bottom for the PVC to go into.

I measured how far the PVC went up the spine and timed it down. I then slid a 1 inch pipe over the 1/2 inch to fill in the gap in the spine. A bit of duct tape helped make it all fit tightly.

Finally found a use of this little paper mache pumpkin I made.

Lastly I added a 36 inch tall stone behind him.

The skeleton came from Walgreens and I replaced the skull with a talking skull that I also got from Walgreens.

It still needs some carving and painting but all of the build work is done.

I'll post of Video of it in action soon.

Thanks man! It was one of the basic props that everyone needs to build just like the cauldron creep.

Great build out! It's going to look awesome!

What did you use for your lights and sound bit? Did you store the power to those inside the box as well?
