Anyone know of a good brand of the strip LED lights that you can cut and apply outside ? Are they any good I’m using them on the inside of a tombstone and don't want to keep reopening it if they don’t last. I know Amazon has a bunch of Chinese ones but know nothing about them.

I really like the quality of the Ikea multicolored strip lights. I use them inside all my shipping tape ghosts and haunted organ. I haven't put them outside bareboned but they are pretty substantial in their rubbery coating. They are a higher quality than the chinese ones from amazon. heres a link, but i remember mine being more expensive. VATTENSTEN LED light strip, multicolor, 39" - IKEA

I work with a lot of LEDs - I also a Christmas lights show synched to music. I primarily work with WS 2811 bullet style pixels, but have also used some of the tape. Some things to look for as far as the tape goes. First is the number of pixels per meter. They generally come in 30, 60, or 144 pixels per meter. I tend to use the 60. Gives a good balance of light without being to overwhelming for most projects. Next is to look at the IP (Ingress Protection) rating. The first number (0-6) refers to the level of protection against solids, such as dust, debris, or other solid matter. The second number (0-8) references the level of liquid and moisture protection. For outdoor applicaitons I would recommend an IP of at least 65. With an IP65, the LEDs can be used in an outside setting and are water-resistant but they are not waterproof, meaning they can't be submerged.

As far as brands - I do like the Govee lights. They are a little more expensive, but have been used in the Christmas Light community for probably the last decade. I like the durability and the ability to control them with bluetooth.
