Single 2-lead color changing LED'S have a tiny microcontroller built in. The chip controls the color pattern.I got some little zombie heads from a forum member. They change from red to green to blue to white. Is this done by varying the voltage or is it voodoo.
Well sort of. The LED is actually RGB and contains 3 LED'S in one package, (red, green, blue). The chip uses PWM to control the intensity of each color to produce, (what appears to the human eye), a wide array of colors. Thanks J Man. But if the color is controlled by a chip the chip must be changing something like the voltage.
