I built these 3-Axis skulls in 2009 and put them on pillars as I couldn't afford the full Skeletons at the time.

Here is the original post (the server that hosted the images is no longer up but the links to the YouTube videos are still there)

Last year I made a bunch of improvements to the design
  • Added Costco Skeletons (my wife stained them to match the skulls)
  • Improved the movement
  • Designed my own servo controller board that runs on DMX (similar to the board of Chuckee but my own design)
  • Changed the eyes to RGB LEDs
  • Reprogrammed and added a few more songs to the routine

Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to video them all setup in my garage but here are some videos in my basement:

This is Halloween

Spooky Scary Skeletons

Grim Grinning Ghosts

Thriller Poem

Enjoy!

That's great I love it! Was it hard building your own skulls? Someday I might get the nerve to try and do it. Probably not soon but just wondering. Where did you source your parts for the build? I'm a pirate fan so my fav is the yo ho song.
