I always get him mixed up with Rob Lowe. I won't make that mistake again. Rob Lowe has aged much better.

Kirk Cameron is a loon and a half. I don't even think most other Christians would side with his extremist and downright falsified views.

Kirk Cameron is a babbling idiot but at least he's encouraging Christians to embrace the holiday, rather than shun it. And if he wants to believe pagans stole it from Christians, eh, who cares really? I've heard worse drivel.

Well we know other former child stars think he's crazy.....

And, really, this coming from a man who doesn't believe in dinosaurs.
Wow. The faraway look in his eyes says it all.
Every child actor of the 80'sand 90's got hooked on drugs and went nuts. But I think Kirk Cameron was the only one who was mainlining bibles, speedballing the incense and trying to get drunk on the holy water. :D

Are you sure about that? DirecTV TV Commercial, 'A Less Attractive Rob Lowe' ;)

And people call me crazy... LOL.

You can't re-write history.

The one thing that he and I have in common... I probably do not want to know what you think of me now:p;)

I find it quite ironic that his wife played a sadistic witch on a later episode of Boy Meets World.
So in other words, he feels justified in telling other people they're doing everything wrong by God if they so much as have an untoward thought (ever see his "Are You Getting into Heaven" or whatever test?), but this one particular holiday he finds really fun, ergo, he's found a way to justify Halloween.

Just not anything else anyone on earth could ever possibly say, do or even think, all of which smack of evil. Because after all, he can do without those, therefore, those are the things that are wrong - since those are the things that he personally doesn't feel are a sacrifice when he doesn't do them.

The things he finds fun, he can rewrite religious history about, and inform us all that Jesus wants us all to mock Obama and get candy.

Way to go, Kirk.

ETA: But yeah, Madame Leota had a point, at least he's encouraging people to like Halloween, LOL. Every cloud has a silver lining, and all that.

I don't think so either, and for the record, all of my Christian friends love Halloween! And not because they want to mock the devil, LOL. Rather, simply because it's lots of fun.

Agreed. He opens himself to critics when he speaks, but he is at least trying to encourage fellow Christians to not fear celebrating Halloween. That is pretty awesome of him.

After I skimmed this article, I read a piece that said Kirk used to be an atheist. I bet no one here judged him for that choice. But now he is a "loon" for switching to Christianity? I am just glad he isn't scared to celebrate Halloween and is brave enough to openly admit it.

As a open, practicing, fun loving and accepting Christian, I celebrate Halloween to have fun, to give kids candy, and to create the best yard haunt my imagination and wallet will allow. But also, I do like the idea of mocking the Devil. I would never share that with anyone who did not specifically ask me my motives for celebrating halloween. I don't question anybody's motive, intent, or reasons for celebrating any holiday.

I realize Kirk put his out there for halloween, and anyone who reads his words has a right to opine.

I saw another Rob Lowe commercial last night, and now he plays a socially awkward guy. Hilarious!
