We just hosted our annual Halloween party called James Halloween Party ( http://www.jameshalloweenparty.com ) for the third year now. The last two years we decorated the entire house for this party which is primarily for kids, but adults have just as much fun. We try to theme each room for the party, for example, the video games are played in the Zombie Room, the kitchen is the Chop Shop, the living room is the Un-living room, etc. Below are some of the decorated areas from this year. You can see videos from this year at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4t6jlSXBIg&feature=share&list=PLkJSBIKfnc2Nkf8Y-y-lMgWJzsEnRP61x or at the url mentioned above.

Suggestions for 2014 are appreciated.

Below are pics of some of the food that was served during James Halloween Party. We lean toward quick finger food such as pizza and sandwich swirls. We found out the hard way that all chips/pretzels/doritos/etc should be in individual small bags rather than a big bag poured into a bowl. This allows you to set the chips out the night before and also you don't have to worry about left overs since everything is already bagged.

For activities for the kids we had plenty of crafts and games available, all with a spooky theme. We also had a trick or treat table where the kids could go through and pick up goodies such as Halloween masks, novelties, jokes, etc. We also had video games such as wii (located in our zombie room) and a pinball machine that they enjoyed playing. We used to have a foosball table out but no one ever played it so we stored it away for this year. Skeleton Magicians and an evil Ventriloquist gave out magic tricks to the kids adding a little mystery to the party.

Thanks for the kind words, we try to make the party new and different each year.

Next year we really hope to be more creative in the bathrooms than just standard Halloween props. We hope to have a pirate theme perhaps with Octopus tentacles coming over the shower curtains.

We found what appears to be a great place on line for shower curtains but have not researched them yet - http://www.visionbedding.com/skeleton-pirate-with-ghost-ship_bath-decor-d-3738885-5799-5920.asp - if anyone has had any experience with them feedback would certainly be appreciated. $80 for a shower curtain is a little high but if its the quality shown in the pictures it would be worth it.

Below is a pic of our current shower curtain and bathroom decorations.
