So We are doing a CD of Music - the theme of our party is Nightmare Before Christmas, so we are doing a CD of music inspired by our party. Remixes, Mashups of songs, and some that we just plain love.
My problem isn't the CD, that's easy enough to handle, and I got that all covered.
I need some opinions on the INSERT, which is going to be the invitation to the party. I saw another one of here that was simple with a single page pullout, and it looked nice and to the point.
I created something along those lines thinking that would be the BEST way to do it, and having gotten NO info on what should be included, I did my best. I presented it to the other 2 people I'm doing the party with, and got the following feedback:
Well we thought it was going to be a booklet that gets stapled together, and at least 6 pages on the inside. We wanted to add information about the movie, our inspiration for doing the party, photography information, food information, and possibly a map to the party.
My question that I pose to you all here on the forum is this:
Would you read a 6 page invitation to a party, and is all of that information really necessary?
We DO have a website where ALL of this information will be posted as well, including an RSVP form, Map, Inspiration info, photography links, etc. They are arguing that even if you tell people to visit the website for more information, that no one will. (If that's true, I'm not sure why they made me add the RSVP Form, and Map to the website this weekend...I really hate wasting my limited time)
HELP!! I'm quite desperate. I don't want to create this booklet if I can avoid it as the layout and design of it will be incredibly time consuming. They don't care about budget concerns (even though the booklet is going to double our budget for invites) so I can't even say anything to them about that.
