I hate wind!!!!!

They are calling for 30-40 MPH winds here tomorrow. Wind sucks! My props can withstand rain/snow but not wind. I spent 2 hours this past Sunday picking things up from a 20MPH wind on Saturday night. Will probably have to go pick up some props tomorrow before the wind starts...

I feel your pain , here in NM wind is a fact of life . Possible gusts to 50 mph Friday and Halloween my way .
Will cross my fingers weather guy is wrong. Usually have to set up my yard
2 or 3 times a year .
I feel your pain. Two years ago, we put the Jeepers Creepers Creeper in my avatar up on the roof, and the next day the remains of a tropical storm came through and we had 30-40 MPH winds. My Creeper thought he could fly... he was wrong. :( He came crashing down midway through the yard and destroyed the wings.
I live in a wind tunnel. 20 -30mph winds are normal this time of year. So i feel your pain. I spend alot of time tryin to figure out minimizing the effects. Sometimes I fail sometimes not.

I can tell you I probally clean up more rope, stakes, pegs and bricks then props. LOL
We've totally given up on tombstones in our area. The wind is ridiculous.
They are calling for 30 MPH gusts by me today, so I'm sure I'll be fixing some things when I get home from work.
That is home haunters number one enemy as far as yard displays go, I guess you could say wind is annoying year round, oh yeah, forgot , it also never lets me use my fog machine properly in the cemetery section of my yard

We have terrible wind and made the decision to not put so many props in the yard and build a walkthrough in our garage. Love working inside all month!

Unfortunately they are calling for rain on the big night. Hope that changes. We live in the desert and everyone stays in when there is the slightest sprinkle.
One of the best things about our new house this year is that it is located in a valley and is well protected from the wind. Too bad it does not protect from rain on Halloween.
I feel ya! Here in SD we get our 40 mph winds tomorrow. I put everything up this weekend hoping it wasn't going to be too bad but now I have to go home and take it all down. Going to see how the webs handle the 20-30 mph winds overnight. If need be I'll take those down in the morning.
40Mph gust are expected for me here tonight, our ToT is on Thursday. Hoping things survive, thank goodness I have everything rebar'd into the ground, but I'm still crossing my fingers.

Why is trick or treating happening on thursday?

I was thinking the same thing?

I thought that was last year because I had to pick up half my stuff from other peoples yards and it has taken me the whole year just to put them back together .

I couldn't agree more!
Yep, love wind but hate it for decorations. I bailed on the styrofoam headstones and went with home made crosses for my centenary.
