The house is mostly ready. My costume isn't and mioght not be but I can live with that. The real issue is I feel so cheated this years by the weather. I feel like I haven't really gotten to enjoy the season this year.

tell me about it! ive been rushing trying to finish my yard, and finding out that half my my lights all died this year. and he rain just keeps coming! i wont be decorating inside till probably next weekend. just because my kids like to get into everything. and trying to get everything in order for my party as well.

I feel the same way. We went from 95 degrees to 30 overnite.... sickening!!! We get cheated out of fall every other year!! All my plans to do fun Halloween things were rained out also????

I know! I didn't think September would ever get here and now suddenly it's two weeks till Halloween! How did that happen? And the weather! We go from dying in the heat and humidity to torrential rain and wind so there's just no good time to work on the yard. I got the cemetery up and lighted but it's very basic. No chance to get out and "play" and add fun details like I have done in the past. That's actually my favorite part. It really gets my creative juices flowing. No juice this year though. Maybe the week before Halloween will be nice and I can get my witches out there.

I agree with everyone; the weather has been even stranger than usual this year. Here too, it went from summer to winter, no fall. A lot of leaves still were green and did not have time to change colors before a hard freeze and snow. A couple of weeks ago it was too hot to set up and still felt very much like summer. Now, it feels very much like winter with highs in the low 20s. Ugh!

Same here. Freeze warnings all week and no nice days to set up anything. Tick tick tick!

I am still fighting with the outdoor candles. 'Weatherproof' my fat rear.

The cold isn't a problem for me but the rain keeps hitting on nights I think about getting the outside pictures. I HAVE to get them done early next week.

My costume still isn't done and I am not sure if it will be. I am seriously have executive function issues getting myself to work on it.

I'm not sure why it really matters that much. We never get ToTs and my party isn't till Nov. 3rd and I might be too tired to even wear it to the party. If I do get it done I am going to HAVE to go to the grocery or something wearing it on Halloween. heh.
