Forgot to post this! We went to Bush Gardens last friday afternoon for their annual "Howl-O-Scream" event. Haven't been in over 5 years, since before our second was born. (We had to leave him home this time he's still to little for all the scary stuff.) Me, the wife and our 13 year old son went and had a blast, They had several Halloween themed shows going on, 4 "Terror-tories" that each had a different spooky theme, 6 haunted houses, a couple of themed stands to buy beverages (both alcoholic and non) and the entire park lit and decorated with actors wandering the crowds. We got there early and rode a few rides, including my all time favorite - Darkastle. After a quick dinner beside the full size T-rex skeleton they had set up for one of the shows we started hitting the indoor haunted houses as soon as they opened. Once it got dark we hit the outdoor houses and checked out all the Terror-tories. The haunted houses were ok, nothing really awesome there, but the Terror-tory called "Demon Street" was by far the best things of the night. There were red lights and fog everywhere, towering demon figures, dragons, enormous wind tubes lit from within to look like jets of flame, a giant skull full of flames, and actors stalking the crowd dressed as sort of road warrior looking creatures. All set to some techno club music that really gave it a party atmosphere. We were totally wore out by the time we left, but had a great time!
