How to make a baby carriage shake- help please!

922 Views 3 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  CreepyCreations
I just acquired an old-fashioned baby carriage, and I would like to use it on my haunted hayride. I am thinking of glow sticks inside to give it an eerie glow, and playing sounds of weird distorted baby crying. I'd like to have it shake at some point, suggesting there is something violent and scary inside. I have no power source as this is in the woods- can anyone give me an idea of an easy, low-tech way to make the carriage shake?

Do a web search Bumble Ball. It's a kids toy that runs on batteries and shakes.

I'd suggest one of those Haunted Hedge props if you have one. Typically you would tie it onto a shrub and when activated (forgot if its motion or sound activated) it vibrates violently and the string pulls on the shrub making it look like someone/thing is in the shrub or behind it. Maybe instead of a shrub tie it to the handle of the baby carriage and see if it's movement is strong enough to vibrate the carriage. It's battery operated so not having AC power in the field wouldn't be an issue.

if it's sound activated and you can trigger a baby crying, that might activate the haunted hedge.

If you can get a battery of some kind, you have lots of options. We used an old motor from an electric scooter, with a fishing weight attached to the shaft on one side. Get that sucker spinning and it'll shake the daylights out of anything.
