I have this motor with pulley that is attached to my cage prop that I want to spin a couple feet off the ground. Are there any suggestions on how I can anchor this motor to some fixed point? I tried attached to a long piece of wood whose ends were held between two bird feeder poles but I'm looking for a better method if one exists.

Another idea I had is to get an adjustable saw horse and attach the motor using zip ties using the screw holes.

Use the threaded mounting holes. Find out the size and threads and screw long screw stock into them. Use T nuts on the other side and nail them into wood then screw the other end into them or you could just press them into the ground. If you need it longer you can use threaded couplers to make it higher.
