I am the big Halloween addict in my family. My wife enjoys Halloween but doesn't have the same passion as I do for it. I think I've got most of my kids converted though and I'm still working on my wife. I've always dreamt of having a yard haunt and possibly a full scale haunted house. For right now it is difficult because we take our kids trick or treating and enjoy that too much. I'm just glad I found a place (here) where there are like-minded Halloween fanatics like me!

I was actually introduced to ScaryScary twentythree years ago at my job through a co-worker. She was working in his dept as a temp and I guess the topic of Halloween or scary movies came up and he said "Oh have I got someone you have to meet....." :D

I'd say my husband is resigned to his fate as the other half of a Halloweeniac. I'm wearing him down though. For the past few years he's carved JOLs and invited people to come see my decorations. ;) My kids have the state hospital on speed dial and think I'm satan but even they enjoy the food and decor. :p
I'm not a prop builder but I think I could count on hubby to break out the power tools if I asked nicely and provided the beer!:D

Such a sweet thread! It cheers me to see all the spooky love on this forum!

My other half is just a smidge less Halloween obsessed than I am. I think it summarizes how much he loves Halloween when about two weeks ago he asked, is it too early to put up the Halloween things? :D

Jen1984, I think you should get a singles Halloween party started for your town or neighborhood. Not only would it be a blast, and lower inhibitions, but the costumes would reveal so much about the person from the beginning! :)

I didnt do that but we met in August in college and our first Halloween together we went shopping together for a pumpkin to carve. We looked and looked until we found the perfect one. Nice and really big and had a great size for a fabulous design. I had said something like I hope it doesnt bang around in the car on the way home.(He had a 1967 mustand when I met him:)) Anyway when I got into the passenger seat I looked back to make sure he had set the pumpkin on the floor and to make sure it wasnt going to roll around. Only when I looked back I found it seat belted in the back seat! [email protected] Like a toddler!:) IT was the cutest thing I ever saw:p Thats when I knew this guy was the one for me:)

Like some others here, the hubs and I were married on Halloween. We are both super fanatics, which is good because I tend to get pretty obssessed with ideas and such as fall approaches. I'm more of the computer girl, but he loves hearing about what's been going on on the forums. He says it's the perfect way to end his day and get the creativity flowing. All we ever really used to do was dress up in elaborate costumes and maybe go out, but now that we've discovered haunting the last few years there's no turning back. ;)
