Pittsburgh, PA celebrated it's second annual Krampusnacht last night. I love our new tradition... even though I am a little doubtful of the proper date. Pittsburgh has a small downtown footprint and even cooler than the main event in Market Square was the pub crawl that meant seeing Krampusi in every corner of the city!

Does anybody else have a public celebration of Krampusnacht in their town?

Not sure what a Krampusnacht is, but this year, my hometown saw it's first Krampus Krawl. Folks went from bar to bar dressed as Krampus or in festive holiday attire to raise money for a charitable organization.

To be honest, this year is the first year I have ever heard of Krampus.

I recall reading about "Krampus" years ago, as being a demon, a sort of Anti-Santa. I don't remember the origins, but I thought it was a cool idea. Now it's growing into a celebration; I think that's awesome. Go, Krampus, Go! If it catches on, what a cool concept for a prop!
