Howdy, this year I am constructing a dark ride that will take guests through a handful of iconic Haunted Mansion-esque show scenes. The main premise behind my design is that the ride vehicle is pulled to the top of the 10' length of track via a winch and slowly let back down the incline. So far, I have made the track and the main frame of the ride vehicle.

Here's the first build montage:

I’m really curious how you plan to incorporate this into your haunt. 10’ seems like a short distance to make a ride but, not to sound cliche, it all depends on what you do with it.

I’m impressed and confused at the same time. I’m impressed that you cut the steel angle iron and bar stick with a hand saw, but became very confused when I saw you owned an angle grinder that could have done those very cuts with so much less effort...

Despite what has turned out to sound like a bunch of criticism, I love the idea of it. Others have some valid safety concerns but providing you test it with a keen eye for safety then I’m sure you can make it a fun and safe experience for everyone and you would become a well known house on the block that night.
