I am one of the crazies, I have 7 including the 15' phantom. I set them up and take down by myself and is not the most fun, but we enjoy it here. I do like the 12' scarecrow in the other store thread, but waiting to see what HD ends up with. I know that in 5 or so years I may do a big "everything must go sale" and down size, but for now it is a lot of fun and we keep it up for all of September and October. The hard part is taking it all down the 1st of November because our Christmas decorations take up even more room and I have most of it up a day or two later. Yes, reuse the adjective "crazy" in any response, I proudly have earned it.

I wonder how long this ginormous prop thing will last? How many variations of 12 footers will be released before they move on?

Don't get me wrong, I love the look & have one skelly myself, but not everyone can store more than 1 or 2 tops & you gotta have help to assemble them & take them apart & that's not something everyone has either. Plus if EVERYONE has the 12 footers or there's a 12 footer of every monster imaginable then what makes them special?
Quick answer: As long as people are buying them, which they will until the next thing comes along.

My hope for this year is that the stores, managers, and distribution are close to the same page on the release. Last year, I would ask associates and they would all give me different times for the same store. And then one store had their pallets with signs on them for a date but when I got there, they said that their manager had put the wrong date on them. And then it was like Black Friday where people lined up for hours before opening and the place looked like a hurricane hit it by that afternoon. Honestly, the whole process was exhausting and frustrating just to find what I wanted. And this was AFTER Orange Friday where I got up early and had what I wanted on order for months, only to find out that I could go to the store and get it right away vs. waiting longer to possibly not get it at all. Granted, not everything was backordered. There were some items that I got pretty quickly after ordering online. And some things that I was able to walk into the store and pickup, no problem. But when it was frustrating, it was REALLY frustrating and I had moments where I thought, "To heck with all of it! I don't want to feel this negatively about this. It's supposed to be fun!"

Yeah, the process is a bit frustrating. What I did find out last year at least in our area, is that there is a team that goes from store to stores setting up the holiday displays. So the release date was different at every store because it was the same team. Meanwhile, some stores will sell things from the racks if you asked the right person. It's very frustrating to see people in the local area who have multiples of things for sale before shipping even starts for online orders. While it would be a special process for them, I really think at least online order should be limited to one one per shipping address per credit card. Of course that won't stop everybody who can get friends and family to order them as well, but it would certainly require more people to be doing separate transactions and this might impact the scalpers a bit, but it might just give the majority a chance to score one.

What was even more upsetting and confusing was that if I placed an order online on Day 1, I was given a delivery date a month or 2 out, but if I placed an order on Day 2 (or 3 or 5 or 10) I received my order A LOT earlier than the first order I placed. How does that make sense?

So have we heard anything?
I have been looking, but find nothing. Hopefully someone with much more connection than me gets something soon.
Nothing appears to be posted yet in the Fakebook groups run by that HD shill.

Also the one who got fed fake leaks and got burned hasn't posted anything about Home Depot leaks yet either.

It looks like the meeting ended Friday so I assume Home Depot needs a few days to choose what photos they are going to "leak", work out the final details on their viral marketing campaign, and get the photos and info to "leak" to their shills on social media.

Today's part of the meeting had a small portion of 2023's Halloween line up.
