Hi, thanks for the help in advance, I am trying to adjust the settings in VSA for the k74 parallel port board on lpt3. when opening the settings dialogue for the LPT relay I get an error " CParallelPort: error=wait timeout, m_io WritePending = TRUE "

Try contacting Brookshire, that almost sounds like a conflict with the computer and the board? Are you using a real parallel port ? I have heard sometimes usb converters and virtual ports don't always work. Wish I could be more help.

I loaded the (VSA) in to two different computers one with win 7 and the other win XP and get the same

What are you trying to connect to? the Kit 74? In the column marked type ,do you have "LPT relay" selected? That seems to be what you need for the Kit 74 relay board. Check the devices under the Help section in VSA. Have you tried a different port? You show a ssc-32, can you connect to that in VSA? Again I would contact Brookshire to see if they can help you.
