This year my daughter's boyfriend is going to be the upper half remains of a victim who was impaled on a stake in our cornfield. We got the idea from a picture we saw in a National Geographic magazine. It was a picture of a carnival barker that appeared to be only a half man.

The illusion is created by using mirrors and a background that tricks the eye. I am wondering if anyone knows how to create this illusion or where I might go on the net to find some help. Been playing around with mirror angles but we're not quite getting it right.

The plan is to have him placed in the cornfield. Corn stalks will strategically be placed around the mirrors to reflect and distract . Astake will go up the middle and he would stand behind the mirror showing only his upper half. At least thats how we think the illusion works.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
