Hello guys I have a Rob Zombie Michael Myers Animated Prop. He works well sound,head,eyes and jerk movement work fine. The issue I have with him is that he raises his arm fine but the motor does not release to drop. It. Does not drop at all without the knife. It does drop but not all the way with the knife in hand so theirs that. Anyone know what could be the problem or have experienced this? Thanks in advance.

This is quite late, but it's possible that the gearbox is gummed up from dried up lithium grease. I have a Jason who's arm gets stuck every once in a while, and it is because of this exact reason. It could also be screwed together too tight, or the rubber belt on the arm may be too tight.

Pull up the cloth on the arm, and verify that the motor is turning in both directions. If it isn't, then you have a transistor or two you need to replace on the circuit board. Try the other steps first, though.
