Curious to know how people get a Walmart Pose-N-Stay skeleton to hold something - such as a sword or gun. In the past I have just sort of made it work, but it does not look very realistic. Have you modified the hands/fingers? What works and what does not?

A heat gun and some patience maybe some gloves so you dont burn your hands.

Yep, a heat gun and a big dose of patience. Do one finger at a time and be careful, that material has to get pretty hot before it will bend without breaking. Here's a couple pics of the Cauldron Reaper I did over the Winter.

I use drywall screws at the joints. You may want to predrill, especially at the seams. For shaping, I use a heat gun like mentioned above. Once you get the shape, go over it quickly with a wet sponge to lock the pose.
