No one has any suggestions? does anyone own or use any of these types
of portraits?
I havent seen any store bought ones I like....
What about online? I was looking at this website Changing Portraits to Kill For - Halloween and Gothic Decorations from Haunted Portraits
has anyone seen their work ? If so was it good or bad ?
thanks for any thoughts
The best of the best are Haunted Memories Changing Portraits. They look so real in person and there's a huge selection of creepy characters. My favorite are the little girls. Go to Haunted Memories Changing Portraits to check them out.

He's apparently good enough to be on ABC news... Haunted Portraits Creator Norm lanier Interviewed about his Changing Portraits | Free Entertainment Videos - Watch Entertainment Videos Online | Veoh

I'd think it would be a safe bet to order from him. ;)

Midnightdreary - wow, that site has some good stuff! :)
I seen a couple at K-mart that looked good!
Me too. They talk too, which is cool. They had 4, I believe, two men and two women. Both guys had the same audio and so did the girls. Their transformations are neat too.
so far I think I'm leaning towards haunted portraits or haunted memories
I've purchased four changing portraits from Haunted Memories, they are truly amazing! They look especially realistic if you put them in an antique looking frame.
There's an online tutorial about how to make your own lenticulars somewhere. I saw it last year and considered trying it, but there's more to it than what you'd think.

The Haunted Memories portraits are the ones that the Spirit website sells. They're also cheaper through them than from the designer's site, but with a very limited selection.
I have a Haunted memories portrait.
The characters arent as "over the top" as haunted portriats.

The transition is very smooth and sutle (sp?) unlike the cheaper versions at the department sotres.
check out their website to see video of the transitions.

They sell cheaper smaller versions also. So I have one 16x20 on the wall and put a couple smaller 5x7 on the sides. Or even on an end table.
we got one from Goulish Galleries and are very happy with it. Check them out! :)

Has anyone made one of their own? I have a huge face with blinking eyes and a large frame.
I was thinking instead of a "changing face" I would just put the large face with light up eyes in the frame and decorate the frame to looky spooky and old. I just had to wonder if anyone has tried this and how they did with it?
I hope you don't mind me jumping in here to toot my own horn a little but I think you'll be very happy with my hand-made pieces. If not I offer a 2 yr no-questions asked return policy. Tim over at the Ghoulish Gallery also does excellent work and I have no issue recommending his work also, it's really just a matter of taste.

RIP
