Need help ! Trying to had a Haunted Miror for my next halloween haunt. I have a glass lying around and bought some mirror tint to put on it to do the two way mirror effect.

I am still unsure about what i'm gonna do with it, either i put a head prop behind it with a light and motion detector for it to scare people off. My second option would be to put a Tv behind it for it to play a small video once people walk in front of it like the scary Mary Mirror but i can't wrap my head around how to do it. I could put a tv or computer monitor behind it and play a video but i don't know how i count trigger it to play with a motion detector.

Anyone ever attempted doing something similar yourself? Or should i stick with something easier like a static prop behind the glass?

I think Atmosfx has a dvd player that can be triggered to work with a motion detector.

Anyone have experience with the Micca Speck ? It looks pretty cheap and i think you can put a autoplay option and loop option but i'm worried it has to be turned on by the remote so i wont be able to put it on a motion sensor since it will not turn on when the power get back on.

My second option was to use the Atmosfx media player but my projector doesn't have a HDMI port so again i'm screwed.

The Frightprops looks pretty decent but it is quite expensive...Any idea for something cheaper?

if you're willing to do a bit of development I'd think you could get a $5 raspberry pi zero and a $1 motion sensor to play video when it detects motion.

I love the speck but as you stated, it only loops - no trigger for it. Good for static props that loop - like a portrait.

I went with the MedeaWiz Sprite last year and it worked great with the fright props trigger.
