I know that DW sold some of the Gargoyles a couple of years ago along with the arm holding the torch. A buddy of mine has the arm/torch. I believe there is now a HM gift shop at DW similar to pieces of eight for pirates at DL.
I have also been trying to figure out a way to get good copies of the stretching portraits. The issue is that there is not any good high quality digital images anywhere I have found (and I have spent way too much time looking.) I have gotten a couple of good images I was able to clean up to project as part of my light/laser show but something that would be visible beyond a few seconds has to have a lot more clarity. What I do have took a long time in photoshop to clean up and clarify and is so/so.
I have thought about buying the larger posters/images (18x24 is biggest I believe) from the print on demand art store at the theme park but they are approx $100 a pop X 4 and would require a large scanner to render into a high pixel image to enlarge. Then of course I would have to find a printer that would put them onto banner weight vinyl for weather resistance which would run about $600 for the 4 assuming the vendor would take the job due to legal issues. My math puts the project at $1K with a lot of work and a trip to Florida as Anaheim got rid of the print on demand store. I'm also not so sure how good the enlargement from the available image size to the life size 3x8' posters would look.
There are some talented artists around here that have painted their own renditions of the pieces but I never have been able to make a painting look good beyond stick figures. I could project onto the canvas but the shadowing is hard. However, that may be the best option and I have thought about having a local college student art major whip some up for me but again, if it's destroyed from wind I'm back to square one.
