Quote from MarkOf13: Hello. Your mauseleum is what guided me to this site and I wanted to see if I could get a start on it last weekend but I ran into a snag. I'm hoping that you have the time to answer a question for me. Do you see an issue with using 1x2s for the framing as opposed to the 1x1s that you specify? I don't have a table saw and I can't get Lowe's or Home Depot to cut the wood into strips.

Asking questions is just fine, but go ahead and post to the Mausoleum thread (Prop Showcase: Haunted Hollow Mausoleum Build) so that everyone can see the questions and answers -- you might not be the only one to have these concerns.

Now, as for using 1x2s instead of ripped 1x1s -- that should be just fine! The only reason I bought the 1x4s and ripped them down to 1x1s was to save some money. Go with what you can, and save money where you can, too!

Do you have my PDF? If not, here is a link: Mill Creek Haunted Hollow: Mausoleum Tutorial.

Pretty sure I just found my project for this year! Thanks for sharing I love it!

Also, love your name haha. I am a 501st member, are you? 8)
Glad you like the build. I don't have time this year, but I'm going to build a new one soon that is a broken, crumbling mausoleum.

I'm not part of the 501st, but I've got some friends who are members. I'd love to join, but they don't make troops my size. Maybe on of Jabba's Gamorrean?

tk, that will be a cool mausoleum.
boyer, I love what you built. I have my glass mausoleum. I have to disassemble it to move it. I think I will reconstruct it more with a open doorway this year. I keep buying glass anytime I find it at garage sales. hope I have enough to do a complete one this year. in the past I have just done the front and as much of the sides as I could. [those who live in glass houses get buried in glass mausoleums. so to speak.
