Try craigslist. You can post for free under "Events' for your particular city.
Be sure to explain the haunt, as well as the times and cost, if any.
Hope that helps and good luck :)

I would recommend sending a press release to your local paper/news stations/radio stations. they cost nothing and usually will get some publicity. for samples take a look at the press section of my site I have the last 3 posted on there.
FrightProps has a new site dedicated to Haunt events and locations. It's free to submit your info.

Got nothing to add. Just wanted to say good luck.
Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. Free and effective. Go to one of the free QR code generator sites and make one for your Facebook page. Then make some small fliers that you can put out around town with that code on it.
Every year, we print out thousands of 5"x8" fliers.
Our local Papa Murphie's pizza store puts one in each pizza they sell.
It would probably be a different story if we were a for-profit haunt, but my wife just approached them and asked, and they agreed.

Well you all just gave me some ideas, thanks, I usually put a large sign out at the top of the street several days before Halloween and will usually attract around 500 or more people each year, thanks for the additional info guys.
Not sure if they have it where you are, but I'm on a site called Nextdoor. It's basically like a Facebook for your neighborhood. I'm planning to send out a message about our haunt - it goes out to members in your neighborhood and surrounding neighborhoods. They actually have a Halloween map too that lets you put in if you are giving out candy and/or have a "haunted house". :)
BUMP! Still looking for help
What kind of help are you looking for beyond what everyone has already suggested?
For our haunt we're doing cardboard box signs like people do for garage sales, placed in the neighborhoods surrounding our house. But that's to draw trick or treaters on Halloween. Since your haunt is open the weekend before you may want to think about making a bright, attention-grabbing sandwich board sign and putting a generous friend in it, out on the nearest major street that leads into your neighborhood.

What a great idea!!! Potentially expensive, but a great idea nonetheless!
Have some magnetic signs made for your car. Put a skeleton, zombie or other attention getter on top. If you have a pickup, put a more elaborate scene in the back. Drive it around a lot. When you park it, make sure it's parked on a busy street.
