I was making a prop this year and I needed something to take it to a better level. I picked up some yarn at Wal-Mart that I thought would do the trick. As I looked at the final prop it hit me. The yarn Lion Brand Yarn Fun Fur would make good seaweed and also spanish moss. I was so excited I had to share this idea.

I also made a happy mistake while corpsing. I grabbed the trusted burnt sienna paint, got home and realized I grabbed enamel and not arcylic. So I gave it a whirl. I added a little water and brushed it on. Then I took a hair dryer on high and baked the paint in and then added another layer. It turned out so fantastic I knew I really had to share these two ideas.

Keep in mind I am a newbie at all this so don't laugh to hard at my projects. You can see on the shade the effect the yarn creates (yes the other is creepy cloth) and on the skull I ran out of latex to finish so he's still a work in progress. I am still learning all this but I LOVE this forum.
