Glad to hear your having a grand time with married life....now let's see some new pics of the new DVD your working on.

I know you have some. You have that glint in your eye like you have something cool to show us.
Your wedding day sounded lovely, I've seen pictures of Canada in the fall. It always looks so beautiful. Love the new Eye of Fire you've done, great work as usual :)
Thanks for the iPhone wallpapers on the blogspot, Mark. I think of you every time I turn on my phone. Looking forward to the new stuff. The zombie silhouettes look great.
I'm trying out the Twitter thing... I'm not sure why. Seems like there are too many places to update now. At least Twitter lets me give little updates quickly. Have a peek. There's a few new images there. https://twitter.com/hallowindow
Great idea Mark, I've added you to my "follow" list.
haha, that's funny..how are the dead flies?
Hey Mark, I remember seeing one of your animations set to some metal music.

I found this and remembered it. Maybe this is something others might be interested in>>

I like the way it looks like a light show synced to the music. Similar to what is being done with LOR for Christman.
Music can be so powerfull and energising (sp?)
Dont know the song but I like it, nice riff

Mark, that's some nice looking stuff! Thanks for keeping us posted! I love that monster kraken guy. he's perfect for the double window!

I hope a lot of the scenes, work with double windows. I was a little disappointed in hallowindows 2 because most of the scenes were covered up, by the center beam of my window. I hope this version will have more double windowed scenes! Keep up the awesome work!

Im ready to Pre-Order! haha!
UltraProjector

If you're considering the zoombox or torpedo - Our UltraProjector is about as bright (only whiter light due to LED) and same resolution, however Ultraprojector doesn't require an external video source or DVD - Just copy any video file (after conversion with supplied software) and the videos will play automatically, indefinitely from internal memory:

Good luck.

I have been reading the posts about the Hallowindow and am very interested in getting this set up for Halloween at my house this year. I don't currently have a projector and will of course need one in order to do this. I read several of the older posts, and it seems that the better the projector the better the effect, but I do not have a large budget for this. I did see someone post about the zoombox which sounded nice when I researched it because the DVD was part of the component so I will not have to connect an additional piece of equipment. Any input on what is currently out there that is reasonable and will do a good job? I do have an extra DVD player available, so is there a better unit than the zoombox at the same cost that doesn't include the DVD element?

Thanks everyone! This is my first post on this forum, but I have been lurking here for awhile and love all the wonderful ideas.

I looked at the website and it actually showed video of the eye from Hallowindow. I was pretty impressed with this unit! I see that you can play from internal memory, but can you also supply a DVD or computer input to it too so that you don't always have to load it? Not very computer savy so wondering how easy it would be even just to play a movie on it from our collection? Any input would help, but thanks for the great recommendation!
Addicted2Boo,
I used a cheap projector and a white sheet from walmart. it was very low thread count maybe 250.
I have to say that this was one of our hits of the night, the kids just stopped and stared and wondered how I did it.
I put the projector in reverse mode so it looked normal on the outside.
The projector kept heating up and shutting down so I sold it.
I am now looking for a good quality projector.
For the money and effect, this is truly an asset to any home haunt.

Thanks to Mark for producing it.

Hope this helps.

that ultraprojector looks great...I could use it this Halloween for my Hallowindow...

looks like shipping date is 10/1, which seems to be cutting things close...

Hey, Ultra, what is the lumens and can it be focused?
UltraProjector Image Quality & Brightness

Hey guys... I agree with u in that Hallowindow is the bomb - awesome effects - the eye is my favorite.
Some have shown concern for the resolution (QVGA) - but I assure you - unless you're trying to project a word document or lots of text, it WON'T be an issue. Any graphic effects you'll throw at it for Halloween use will look very clear and non-pixelated. There is a manual focus that is achieved by turning the lens in/out. Brightness has not been measured officially, but the LED light source puts out 900 Lumens (brightest one in the world) - of course, after the LCD panel, that number will be lower. For those who have seen the torpedo - the brightness is about the same (our 12 Watt LED puts out the same as their 60Watt Halogen lamp).

Thanks for looking. There is no video input - the projector was designed from the ground up strictly for simplicity - to be able to play videos continuously with no computer, dvd player, nor user interaction needed. There are no buttons, menus, or other controls. A USB cable connects to your computer like another drive letter (just like a flash drive) - videos can be copied to and from in the order you want them played. We are even offering Free content that you can get pre-loaded for Halloween... Take a look:

I just won the bid on a Infocus Projector last night. I can't wait to get the video so I can scare the neighbors...er...I mean try it out. Thanks Mark! :D
dionicia, it'll look amazing, I'll be using hallowindow every year, one of my best purchases :)
Man! I had to duck the DVD arrived so fast. Mark mailed it on the 17th and I just got it today.

Wow, the post office is in top form. :D
Happy to hear the postal system works. I've had my share of DVDs lost in the mail, that's for sure.
Another Saturday of production on Hallowindow 2009 (or Hallowindow III as it'll most likely be named on the DVD). I'm trying to make this year's longer... shooting for 4 minutes. Here's a little image of one scene. I'm also posting semi-daily tweets on twitter... spread the news.
