My suggestion is that it needs to be "window specific" Things that actually happen "in the window", inside the haunted house. Maybe faces appearing and vanishing, spectors walking by, curtans blowing, or possibly a flying crank ghost (since the real thing is very expensive). Love the ghosts and the eye, even the monster in the beginning of Hallowindow I, looking out at you. Maybe things floating from side to side instead of up and down. Maybe just a bunch of glowing eyes looking around, blinking. I personally would like to see it less cartoony and more realistic, but I am asking alot. I wrote Mark with these suggestions but wanted to see if Im in the minority or not.

I agree with you, I would love to see some more realistic options also.

Yep, love most of all those suggestions too! I'm okay with the cartoony though. Got lots of little ToT fans that love it.

i think your idea though is a great one. I was thinking along the same lines myself with the haunted house window thing. I like the window creatures you did in 1 & 2.
The cartoony i like as it catches both young & old.Realistic would be cool,but that would be a whole new thing to run thru maybe........ The eyeball & ghost are awesome,especially the easter egg red ghosts !!
Whatever you do is totally awesome !!

I personally dig the cartoon look. Judging from Mark's illustrations on his website it is obviously his art style and he is awesome at it. I think his strong sense of style is what holds the whole thing together so well. I do like how the ghosts evolved from Hallowindow zero to Hallowindow 2, they are MORE realistic but still maintaining the cartoon style. Cartoony can definitely still be creepy.

The tone is perfect for what I am looking for. Classic but keeping it fresh, little or no actually gore, attractive to all age groups. I love it.

Meltdown... go to the Extras Menu... navigate to Ghosts... then press Left. A pair of eyes should light up... press Enter. Viola! Red Ghosts! Also try going right from Spiders.

Thanks for the tips on style everyone. I'm happy to hear your thoughts. Ideally, I'd like to make a more serious version with scary imagery and version that is more fun and cartoony for kids. Doing both would be a lot of work so I'm unsure right now how much of each will be possible. Of course my natural style tends to be on the bold cartoony side of things and keeping it somewhere in between has worked so far.

Oldsguy350... The animation works best on windows that are about a 4:3 ratio... so much like a standard TV (not HD TV). If you can fill that space up it should looks fine. It might not look as good if you have a tall narrow window to project it in.

Ghost of Spookie... I double checked, all Hallowindow links are up and running. Maybe try again.

I SOOO want to get this for this year, but I'm having a hard time finding a cheap projector. I've looked at Ebay, Woot, CL and the likes. Can anyone tell me where I can get one pretty cheaply? More than likely, the Hallowindow would be the only time I use it so I don't want to spend hundreds. Thank you!

HAHHAHA I actually thought you were pulling my leg Dark Lord!! I thought the next post from Dark Lord would be "Meltdown, did you ever find those easter eggs?? And I would spend 4 hours running my mouse around the DVD screen never to find anything...I had no idea there were actual easter eggs hidden on that DVD! I really liked um too! I actually laughed when I saw the eyes glowing....I said "holy crap"..."no joke" "im gonna get Dark lord now....Thanks Mark for those little extras!! I loved um!

Sorry Melty,........ after reading this i think it took me 15 min to get off the floor ( LMAO )........ I might pull wings off flies (not really) but i would NEVER run ya around like that buddy.. :D ....
course i could see you cursing me as ya mumbled things about me while you were trying to find the possibly invisible, non existent easter eggs..... er cheese wheel snipe hunt.... But see they were there !!
Not that it wouldn't have been entertaining to have a vid of you wildly searching for the eggs that may or may not be there as you were muttering about that damn DL......... :rolleyes: :D

Ahhhh man...that cracked me up....snipe hunt...ahahahahhh have not heard that saying for YEARS!! I really did man, thought for SURE you were playin with ole Melty...It would have been a boring video anyway...me..wild eyed, every 5 minutes looking at the web cam...cursing your name...slamming the mouse at 1 hour 45mins, huffing and puffing at 2:20, pulling hair like "Chris Farley" at 3:14 and finally storming out of the office at a solid 4 hours later...but I would have given it the ole college try...
