Halloween stores in Canada (namely Ontario)

Any suggestions as to where I can find cool Halloween stuff here in Ontario, Canada? I can (and have in the past) buy stuff online, but that can become costly bringing it over the border with duty/taxes/shipping.

I was pretty psyched to see some Spirit Halloween stores popping up here and there but I was wondering if anyone knows any other places that is great to buy decorations and props, etc. I know Michael's has some stuff too...any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated. :)

Walmart, doller stores, canadian tire, drug stores. Spencers used to rock but they dont have mutch anymore.
Costco used to have great stuff, but not much this year so far.

Home Sense has a great free-standing life sized Skeleton Chef. It's about $79 Canadian and looks good when properly put together. Some of the home sense's haven't put it together properly though, and some of them don't seem to have it. But most of them did.

There's that Amazing party store on the south side of the QEW, around Islington or Kipling...they usually have some nice stuff but are usually over-priced, and they don't always
have the life-sized props like Spirit has.

If anyone else finds life-sized props at Ontario retailors please let us known! Animated ones preferred.
hey guyz I'm in Sudbury Ont. The Spirit Halloween stores are in the Toronto area, there are a few in and around TO. There is also one in Kingston that I am pretty excited about. :)

If you go to Spirit online and check the store locator tab it lists the locations in Ontario.

Have Fun ;)
I live right in the hub o' Halloween goodness, South Mississauga. I have a Spirit, Screemers, Michaels, Spencers and Aamazing party store near me. If i can help anyone, drop me a line........'Scruff
Hi Scruff,
I too live in Mississauga! The Spirit Store on Dundas near the 427 opened yesterday. I was their first customer. Bought the Midnight Countess! Love Her!:)
I see a Halloween Distributors opening in Winnipeg, do they have any in Ontario if so do you know anything about them?
do the spirit stores in ontario such as mississauga and dundas streets carrying the face ripping clown and horror radio prop? Those are the two Im most interested in!
Zellers has cleared out their back to school supplies and put out Halloween decor and costumes; a lot of it is the same kitschy looking crap from last year so I'm not so sure it's worth checking out. I guess it's okay if you're looking for party supplies, but the decor is rather gaudy looking.
I think I might pay a visit to the GTA and grab some stuff this year..either this weekend or next..
is Spencer's any good? And has anyone been the the Missisauga Dixie Mall Spirit Store?

There's a Spencer's at Square One, I called last week but at the time they hadn't unloaded their halloween stuff yet. Usually though they don't have as much as Spirit's does (Spirit is actually owned by the same company as Spencers).

I dropped by the Spirit by Dixie mall last week but they weren't open yet. They should be now. There's also another location close by on Dundas. So I was planning on hitting both locations at the same time.
Unfortunitly Spencer's is no longer carrying props, they are leaving that up to Spirit stores. But not all Canadian cities has a Spirit store which sucks, because they also don't ship here.
As of yesterday (Sept. 20/09), i have been to the Dixie Value Mall Spirit store and i can say yes! they have the face ripping clown for sure (at least when i was there). Read my previous posting about my disappointment in Spirit this year!
I'm going to check out this store tomorrow I think..
