I've always loved that first smell of a neighbor's fireplace too. That screams fall.
- Leaves turning color
- That first noticeably cooler night
- The first noticeably cooler day
- The shorter days
- The first frost (Rarely happens before Halloween for me)
- The smell of burning dust from your home's heater.
- Walking through Target's Halloween aisles
- Picking your pumpkin
There's many others. I haven't been on a Hayride in years, but I would like to make it a priority this year.
Now if I could only fast forward to September. I loathe August.
