Hi!

My member name is The Costumer. I am new to this forum. Just joined a couple of months ago

I am from the area which has Mardi Gras. Thus I have two big events: Halloween AND Mardi Gras.

There are many benefit functions that encourage costumes as well.

You can view my costume characters album on my site.

My costumes tend to be on the historical side.

They run the gamut from George Washington to Merlin The Magician, from Ben Hur to The Swinging Granny, from French Aristocrats to The Grande Aunte and from a Colonial Tradesman to Mozart.

I would like to consider some ideas for a Halloween type costume.

Since you can see the type characters I have costumed as, I would appreciate some costume ideas for a costume specifically to be used at halloween ( I can also use it at Mardi Gras)

I really enjoy this forum. This is the first one that I can really discuss costuming and show some of mine.

I thank you in advance for your recommendations.

You could really do any costume, but with the Mardi Gras twist of doing it in the Mardi Gras colors. Be it historical (king, soldier, etc), occupational (police, doctor, etc), sports-related (ref, football player, etc), classic Halloween (witch, devil, mummy, etc). The list could go on & on.

Well if you need some ideas for a exclusive Halloween costume, give us some more informations.
Do you want something scary? linked to American history? European or elsewhere maybe? Would you use make up or not?
