Halloween at The Raven Creek Inn

Hey everybody! Well, we just had our party this past Saturday and it was a huge success. The theme was a haunted inn called The Raven Creek Inn. Thank you everyone on this site for all their ideas and inspiration. Please check out my photo album when you get a chance. This year we made wallpaper with newsprint and hand stenciled the pattern. Took a lot of time but it was well worth it. We even made inn room doors out of corrugate. Not sure how to top this one next year but I'm sure you guys out there will help. Thanks!

The walls were covered with newsprint and kraft paper I ordered from Amazon. Cut the sheets from the rolls, taped them to the wall with masking tape, bought stencils at Hobby Lobby, and painted them on with tempera paint using a 3" sponge roller. Took a lot of time but the effect was cool. The "wood" peaking out is black poster board with contact paper strips adhered to it. I tore the wallpaper once it was up then placed the "wood" behind.

That is intense! I am amazed and humbled by that environment you created. Looks exactly like a real haunted hotel.
Fantastic! Thanks so much for sharing your photos - I really loved the whole vignette with the skelly sitting in the corner chair. That looked especially awesome! Great job!
