This is my first time sharing pictures of my yard display, though I have been "haunting" the forums for years. I've been slowly building my inventory of props (mostly hand-made), and I finally have enough worth showing off. You'll see a lot of familiar ideas that I procured from other posts on here. Due to fears about things getting wrecked or stolen, it's all built in one day and taken down that night, but the neighborhood really enjoys it (especially since I am the only one on my street that does anything elaborate).

First the day pics:

The graveyard is made up of all store-bought stones, but i hope to eventually make my own.

Here is the highlight of my display - my Pumpkin King that I made a few years ago after seeing Nightfisher's build:

Since a king is nothing without his subjects, my big project for this year was making several of his minions and warriors:

And then my giant spider (which was supposed to be my only big project for the year):

Finally, here are the night pics:

It's hard to get the lighting perfected, since I only have a short time to see what works. However, I was pleased at how the shadows ended up working (completely unintentional)!

You can see the projector that I had at my garage in the background, but I didn't take any pics of the scenes. I had planned to get some video of the whole display, but didn't get a chance to figure out how to work the borrowed camcorder (sigh - yet another thing for next year).

Due to the massive winds this year, I didn't put any of my animated props out, and the fog machine was sort of a bust. It worked out though, because I didn't have enough extension cords (and outlets) for everything! Trying to have enough cords/outlets for lighting up the new pumpkin creatures was an eye-opener, and something to plan for next year's prep.

A somewhat modest display compared to some on here, with time and space being limiting factors. But it is all worth it to see the reactions that people have to everything I do put out. Hope you enjoy as well!

Awesome job, it looks fangtastic! I really like the 2 skellies in the first pic, I already have an animated skelly grave digger, I might have to add the second skelly with the body next year!

Very nice and very well done. I too like the skellies about to bury a body as well as the pumpkin king and his minions. Lighting still looks fantastic. Lighting is hard even when you do have plenty of time to tinker with it. You did a great job casting shadows and those are what really help create the eerie effect.

I never thought to animate my skellies, but now you've got me thinking of putting it on the list for next year!

I always hate that the lighting is the last thing I really get to play with, but I lucked out this year. I actually didn't realize how good it looked until I saw the pictures.

Borrow away! Nearly all my ideas come from what I've seen other people post on here, so I guess this is my way of paying it forward if it inspires others.

Absolutely love the pumpkin sentinels!!! Very nice work!!
Thank you - the sentinels were my favorites as well.

LOL! That's hilarious!!
I think I'd give this one a microphone and play "I will survive" by Gloria Gaynor through an MP3 player at this display. Ha ha!
This zombie was actually my ode to "Bicycle Girl" from the first episode of The Walking Dead....but now I don't know if I'll ever see it the same way again!
