Ha ha. I have birthed...minions

Well, my now 23-year-old was never as into Halloween as I was.

But I HAVE BIRTHED MINIONS to follow in my footsteps. (laughing, drooling and rubbing hands together) My 6-year-old is autistic and speech delayed so it shocked me that, starting about a week ago, EVERYTHING was "a pumpkin". He even started drawing pumpkins. Out of nowhere.

And now I am getting deliveries every now and then (skeleton, etc.) and they are all "Halloween" or "pumpkins" or "scary", according to both my 6-year-old and 3-year-old.

Today I got a miniature wagon via UPS (I will be filling it with, you guessed it, pumpkins) and while I was still opening the box, before he could see anything, my middle guy went "pumpkin!" and he grabbed my camera and started snapping pictures of the box, saying, "It beautiful!"

LOL.

My freakish line SHALL go on.

How delightfully wonderful!!

If you can, scan in a few and post 'em! That's fantastic!

How often do you get to see the little "Next Gen Haunter"?
That's AWESOME! I'm glad that your line will continue and that the haunting world in that area will be expanding. It just goes to show you that even if it does skip a generation or two, haunting will come back to the family. ;) (trust me, my grandparents/parents hate halloween... and now at 23 at college and all, I'm all over it... they just shake their heads when I bring up what I want to do for Halloween... in January lol )

It's great when the minions get involved.

My 2 year old 'helping' with Bob. EVERY skeleton is now Bob. She even knows which 'bones' are Bob's arms, legs, etc, and will bring them to me. It struck me especially odd last night as "Bob's bum pretty" escaped her mouth (after I explained the pelvis template I was making was Bob's bum...)

Hug bob, color bob, bob, bob, bob, bob....she's a little obsessed...

The older minions making...uh. "tombstones" last year....or as close as we use, anyway.

These pictures are SO flarkin' cute. Thanks for sharing them, guys.

And yes. I have gotten to them verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry early. (rubbing hands together) (guffawing evilley)
good stuff good stuff. It's always great to see the little guys and girls getting interested in Halloween at that age. They might be posting on this forum in the future, who knows?
Thanks for putting the little haunters on.
I second that...TY very much !
Yep, kids raised in a Haunted House never outgrow it. My son is a schoolteacher and his classes LOVE hearing stories of his "Haunted House". In fact, both of my now adult children will be joining us this year to work on the Haunt with their significant others. For my son, that's a 250 mile drive, one way. And my ten year old daughter has been into prop building for years already. In fact, late last Saturday night we were up until mid-night tweaking the Fog Chiller. She said that was the best part of the weekend, flooding the entire yard, and the street, with fog.

But that story of connecting with an autistic child through Halloween, that's just plain beautiful...

This is gettin' me all teary. :)

How fun to hear about all the little haunters-in-the-making. 20 years from now we'll be seeing all our kids on here, LOL...now that will be awesome!
is it wrong to infect other people's children with the love of halloween? I don't have any of my own... *hears the tic toc of time*, but I'd be interested in corrupting someone else's minions for my own devious plans...

anyone wanna lend me theirs? I have PLENTY of 'fun' projects left... =)
Congratulations! I was overjoyed last year when my teenagers refused invitations to High School Halloween parties to be part of the haunt!

Here is some of my 13 year old haunt pal. Who just happens to be playing haunt tracks on his mp3 player in the other room.

It's so wonderful when the kiddies want to get involved. You are all so lucky. I haven't seen my daughter in 3 years, I miss her so. I wish I could have her here to help me.
Aww, reminds me of me at that age. Giggling gleefully at the singing dead flowers in a skull, placing pumpkins all around the house, watching as many Halloween movies as I could. Little haunters are so cute!
Little haunters are adorable, great stories and pics! Manda- I agree for corrupting others children :)
