Grady Twins finally done. I've wanted to do this for a while - finally found the various pieces. Now trying to decide if I should keep them as is or go with the "bloodied version" - bad thing is that once the blood is on there is no going back. Any opinions? In our basement hallway (with a flickering light) I think will look pretty cool.

Buying hairspray/hair beretts at 6 this morning I realized I'm offically crazy

The blood could go either way. They look kind of sterile as is. A bit of blood would give them some character but if the lighting will be dim, will it even be noticed?

That's kind of where I'm at - with sporadic lighting from a low angle that may be enough to get the desired affect. I've always tried to stay away from bloodied/gore props as my boys were younger, didn't want to scar TOTs. Now that they're older the options are at least there.

I think in a low flickering light they are creepy enough without blood. Love them!

These are just beautiful, what skillful work. I'm just curious if you care to share........if you took orders to make these for people....what kind of price tag would you need to put on them?

That's actually a question my wife just asked - I guess I don't even know what people would expect/be willing to pay. I've typically also just built for my own pleasure- but would be open to build for others.

I'd experiment with lighting effects to the Nth degree but blood is absolutely unnecessary (and my vote would be it looks better without it anyway). Great job!

Your Grady Twins look fantastic . I have been looking for mannequins/dolls to do this prop with no luck . The dresses ,bows and wigs with the beretts are perfect . Did you make these from mannequins ? Understandable you don't want to risk the bloody look on them .They already look creepy in natural lighting .

If I had found the right dolls I was going to use projection for lighting . The Shining scene in the hallway that flashes from clean twins to bloody twins . Another idea would be to take a photo of your twins in your setting , bring it into a graphics program and add the blood there for the projection . Best of both worlds , you get to keep them clean as well as the bloodied look

You did a great job on them , looking forward to seeing how you do your final scene .

I wouldn't change them. It could be pretty creepy to flicker the lights and project blood on them and the walls with the lights out. AtmosFEARfx has a Blood Walls DVD.

I was tempted to ask as well. so how did you make these? I first thought they were matching mannequins but it sounds like you sourced parts for them and built them to match. Very cool. How tall are they? Do they disassemble? If you made the armature and buyers could customize their own outfits/hair etc I think you'd have some interest. Even if you made them just like these! I'm anxious to see them under the lighting you choose. Really unique and fresh and freakin creepy!!

I love insight...was trying to think how I could loop a bloody scene on a projector (I gotta think about this some more now) ...Thanks.

Fantastic! They look amazing as-is, but I'm putting in my vote for the bloody version. It's always scary to take risks with props once you get them to a certain stage, and it doesn't always pay off, but I think the risk is minimal on this one.
