i'm considering doing a black light/glow in the dark theme for the kitchen at our halloween party, but i'm concerned that it'll be too dark for getting food and pouring drinks and would just be conducive to making a huge mess. thoughts?

Just getting started with my blacklight/mad scientist lab in the kitchen. I'm not usually one to repeat a theme but the ease of uv reflective liquids makes the mad sci lab a big hit every year (plus, I have the gemmy dr. shivers :) ). I typically focus my blacklights in the tight/already dark spaces (under cabinets/in cabinets) and set displays. Then I will spread the edible items in a more open area (also in the kitchen, but not in the video) where other ambient light (from string lights, living room lighting, & likely the tv). It is an island/bar area.

My video is likely not helpful but I was excited about the progress of my set-up tonight:
