I have wanted the animated witch for a couple of years, this year she would really fit in with the theme at $140ish .. is she worth it??

I had problems with it the first year it came out, had to return it to sams. Bought one last year at lowes and havent had any problems. I think she is well worth it. With the detail of her at walmarts price she is probably worth it even if she quit working and became a static prop.

A big yes! Mine was used when I bought her but shes is still my favorite prop. I love her and actually want to get another. I hope she comes with all her accessories, I was told mine didnt come with her second spider (for her hat thats in the pic) , so I hope Gemmy doesnt forget it this year :3

I purchased the witch last year and had no major pronlems. Very nice looking prop with very nice looking costume, much better than most store bought props IMO. The one I got from Lowe's came with a wireless microphone so I enlisted the help of my mother-in-law to bring the witch to life. She had a perfect view of ToT's as they came down the driveway towards our gated entrance. Many people weren't sure if the witch was a person or a prop; it was great. The witch also has a input jack to connect an audio source (cd player, i-pod, etc).

Towards the end of Halloween night she was doing a bit of squeaking when she swayed back and forth while stirring the cauldron but I suppose a little WD-40 would probably remedy that.

This year I'm planning on building a wood shed style shelter to showcase her complete with child sized robed skeletal helpers, table, shelves, and as much detail work I can create with as little money as possible.

Bottom line, at that price, if you got the cash and she fits your haunt, I would purchase the witch again.

I got one last year when Gemmy was selling on Amazon. Her hips didn't sway so Gemmy refunded my money and let me keep the prop. All the other features worked and I really like her. I don't have anywhere to store her so she sometimes gets dressed up for other holidays (now she's in the garage in partial 4th of July garb). She doesn't fit in with my theme this year, but I had forgotten about the audio input. I wonder if I can temporarily turn her into a cannibal or a headhunter? Hmmmm

GREAT PROP. I BOUGHT HER 3 YEARS AGO, SHE'S FALLEN OVER AT LEAST THREE TIMES AND STILL KEEPS ON STIRRING. THE ONLY NEGETIVE THING THAT I CAN SAY IS NOW THAT SHE'S BECOMING MAIN STREAM, EVERY OTHER HOUSE ON THE BLOCK IS GOING TO HAVE ONE AND SOME HOW IT LOSES ITS APPEAL. THIS YEAR I HOPE TO CHANGE HER UP SOME HOW, MAYBE GIVE HER A COUPLE OF FRIENDS TO DANCE AROUND THE FIRE, SOMETHING TO MAKE HER DIFFERENT. SORRY FOR THE POOR QUALITY PIC, BUT HERE SHE IS WITH AN ABS PIPE TRI-POD AND MODIFIED ELECTRIC FIREPLACE SURROUNDED WITH VARIOUS BONES.

I like her, especially if you can get her for $129--I prefer the figures you can use the mic with or plug in an outside audio source. And she was hard to get for a while, at a much higher price.

And she doesn't sing an irritating song, lol. (I'dve gone nuts if I had to listen to that witch with the spirit ball in her hands for very long)....

Be sure to check yours right away tho--I had trouble with the mouth movement on the first one I got & had to exchange her. I have a feeling that is where her mechanical Achilles may be.

Also the misting from the cauldron isn't terribly impressive, but the idea is conveyed.

Thanks for the input. I was thinking of maybe trying to build something like her, but if I can get it finished for $140 ... I guess I would probably end up spending that much to make her, not to mention the time and the possibility of not getting it done/or done right.

While it might now be mainstream; the likelyhood that another person in your neihborhood will have it should be slim. If your worried about everyone in Walmart seeing her...Don't be!

It's only being sold Online.

I bought one 2 years ago and she has problems, she acts like she's not getting enough power.I ordered one on wallmart.com and she came in today. I noticed something funny, now she comes with 2 power plugs. I emailed gemmy and told them since they fixed the problem they should have issued a recall and need to refund my money. Hopefully they will get back to me without me having to start a class action lawsuit.
