gemmy fog machine timer

What Gemmy fogger are you referring to? One of the newer wireless remote control ones or an older model that has a wired push button remote?

So you have the timer in Jman's picture and it's not working?

Hum, well then it could be like VMike said and it's the wrong fog machine for that timer or the timer is bad.

You could always hook up the fogger to a prop controller and you don't have to ruin your timer if you still have the original single push button remote from the fogger, it's easy to hook up to an arduino or if you want to spend more a picoboo and program your fogger how ever you'd like for it to go off.
