So I’m starting to get a little obsessed with this funko thing I was originally going to buy Just oogie boogie from the nightmare before Christmas collection now a couple days later I have 5 more and One to go!
I don’t know why but it’s pretty addicting to search for the limited editions at box lunch, Barnes and Noble and Walgreens. I haven’t found any limited editions yet but hopefully that will change. Anyways I guess my question is does anyone else collect funko on here?

I think some of them are cute, but remember the lesson of the Beanie Baby craze/crash... Don't go nuts buying them for lots of money thinking they'll be any kind of an investment.

And "limited edition" in mass produced goods is meaningless. It's just a sales gimmick to get you to pay more for something that is still easily available in large quantities.

I have several from NBC and I have bought some star wars ones for my husband. One of my sons is in the army and he collects a few of them and I have bought a few for my other 2 sons. I like them they are cute.

Anyone who buys collectibles because they think they will be worth anything is an investor, not a collector. Collectors buy for fun, not caring if they can ever recoup their money.

I have a few but I know myself so I had to set limits. My rules are
1) I have to actually like it. Seems simple, but occasionally I'll get tripped up by finally having merch of something I like and want to support that even if the item is meh. Not allowed for Funkos.
2) Must be easily identifiable (even if only to me) as the character in question.
3) Unless it's something where there isn't a lot of merch to choose from. Then liking it and wanting it is enough.

Otherwise I would be swimming in Funkos because they seem to have everything!

I have a massive amount. It starts with just one lol. I'm actually out of room now and most of them live in my closet. Some were gifts over the years. I bought a lot myself. I'm obsessed with any movie that makes me feel good, so I ended up wanting to see their characters in my living room. It is never ending, but I have no regrets, although I am at a point where I try to talk myself out of some that I know would end up in the closet cuz i'm out of room. Btw which 5 do you have? did you know about these newer ones? https://www.entertainmentearth.com/s/?query1=nightmare+before+christmas+funko+pop

They are rather addictive. We have a large collection because we love so many fandoms! My Lord of the Rings/Hobbit and Doctor Who ones are my favorites though!

I seriously hope Funko re-releases the Mayor from NBC because the prices for him are insane. The most I've ever spent on one was like $65 for Sam from Trick 'r Treat.

I have 4 or 5 of them, with 3 being Halloween/horror/spooky ones (Edward Scissorhands, Jack, and Freddy Krueger). I love Funkos, but they cost just a wee bit too much for me to buy all the ones I want. :(
That said, I really want one of the Black Philip ones, and more of the horror villain Funkos in general.

It's highly unlikely that they will. The reason Pops get vaulted in the first place, other than losing the license, is that they just don't sell. Funko doesn't care what happens in the secondary market. They only care if you buy it from them. So it it was unpopular before for them, why would they do it again? At best, they'd redo the Pop to attract new buyers who wouldn't want a re-release. Besides, why would they want to upset existing customers by destabilizing the secondary market?

I love funko!!! I'm on the hunt for a nightmare before Christmas dapper Jack, it was a hot topic exclusive. the ebay prices are $60+ not including shipping, so I just can't justify it. I have dapper Sally already ($27 shipped)
