We got a projector and put up old classic movies on it during our party a couple of years ago.
While everyone was sober, it was a big hit.

How to make it:
Made this out of the lightweight white housing insulation panels that you can buy at Lowe's.
Bought two of the panels, then cut one 1/2 of each moon in each panel, then used 1 X 1 inch furring strips on the back side to mount the two separate halves together.
In the middle furring strip, screwed in a metal hook so that we could hang it from the main stage.
Next, I downloaded a picture of the full moon, and working from that used Fusion Light-Brown Spray Paint available from Fred Meyer or Lowe's to paint a full moon.
