Free at last, free at last, thank *dietyofyourchoice* all mighty, we are free at last! No more holidays breathing down my neck for at least 8 more months!

Is anyone relieved that Hallowthankmas has passed? I swear, I need an additional month between Halloween and Christmas. There is just not enough time! I start Halloween-ing in August, feeling nothing but pressure the entire time until the big day comes and goes, and then the race is on to put it all AWAY, and THEN the pressure to get Christmas out and up! Luckily we didn't have to entertain for Christmas the past two years because all I could manage to do is condense Halloween into the dining room, I couldn't get it all put away in time. Literally every spare moment of my time from August to January is devoted to holidays. Planning, making, shopping, cooking, setting up, taking down, stressing. But now it's over, now I can breathe.

Is anyone else feeling some serious relief finally?

Yesyesyesathousandtimesyes!!

I can now actually work on Halloween & Christmas crafts!! During the season from Sept. to Dec. I have a hard time doing that stuff so now that things are put away I can focus on making stuff for next year.

I don't do much for Valentines, St. Patrick's Day or Easter outside of putting up those plastic popcorn decorations on the door & windows & that takes 10 minutes tops, so I can finally get around to making things I like & want to make.

I know what you mean. I’ve always hated all the stress associated with Thanksgiving and Christmas. For me it’s just getting through it. I usually take several months off (Nov-Jan) from thinking about the Haunt stuff to enjoy the Season; but this year I just could not let it go. I desperately need to sell, sort and store my props (see attached photos taken earlier today). I will be selling-off nearly all my props (ghosts, tombstones, reaper, etc.) to clear room for new ones. I think I will feel the “relief” once I get my garage/workshop cleaned and organized so I can started working again (I have such an urge to start maching again).

Yeah, my Christmas stuff is still up too. I work tomorrow then it's coming down between Friday - Monday. The weather has to cooperate to take the blow molds to the garage, so that won't happen until Sunday when it's supposed to be near 60° & not raining.

I won't say dry because it's been raining since....forever, so it won't be dry until, well, maybe never again, I don't know.
