Hi Forum,

i recently got an el-cheapo fog machine (220V) to use this year for halloween - it has a wireless remote etc.. but i was seeking a timer remote (so i can leave it to do its fog stuff)

its fitted with a 3 pin XLR but most timers are 5 pin- so a bit lost- given its 3 pin i cant imagine it rocket science here but i have never had one of these before..any guides on where to get or how to jerry rig for the eve?

Yeah, that's the wrong plug for the fogger in post #1, his has a round plug.

I don't see where that fogger will accept both plug styles for the timer. The lower 3-prong is AC power in.

Hi - thanks for the info...

i have the wireless remote - wat i was looking for is an unattended time/duration control

i am guessing the 3 pin is a simple normally open deal and a time would simply connect the pins for a set time delay and duration?

know of any XLR 3 pins that may do the job?

Here's a link to some info on how the 3-pin timers are wired. Be aware though, this is the typical wiring for 120V foggers, I'm not sure if it applies to 220V units.
