Fog Machine Question

I just acquired a free fog machine (coworker had used it for a party and no longer needed it). This fog machine is triggered. Is there a way I can circumvent the trigger and have it always on? If I do so, will that either cause a safety concern or damage the fog machine?

Spirit has the classic fog timer:

Look at the plug on the timer in the picture - if the remote on your fogger is the same, the timer will most likely work. Then you just fill up the fog machine with juice, set the timer and every so often it will blast out some fog.
